Hex is a mathematically perfect game: its rules can be learned in 10 seconds, yet it is entertaining and interesting, and has been the subject of numerous mathematical studies. The aim of the game is to form an unbroken chain of pieces between one side of the rhombus that forms the board and the opposite side, thus connecting both sides (white pieces connect white sides, and black pieces connect black sides). The player who completes this row first wins.
At Ludoteka, Hex is played online with the option to swap on the first move (change of color) to compensate for the possible advantage of the start.
