How to play Sudoku

Sudoku is played on a 9x9 square grid, which is divided into 3x3 square areas. Each game starts with some of the boxes filled in with numbers ranging from 1 to 9.

You have to fill all the squares so that each number appears only once in each row, once in each column, and once in each of the areas delimited with a bold line.

How to play in Ludoteka:

  • Select the right number of the square with a double click or a long click.
  • Click on the numbers to uncheck or check them again as valid options.

Sometimes, games are also played on an 8x8 grid (divided into 4x2 sized areas), or 6x6 (3x2 sized areas).

Whenever you play a rated solitaire game in Ludoteka, you are competing against other players. Up to 25 different players will play the same game, during a maximum period of two days. For more information see the solitaire games.
