Connect 4 game rules
Four in a Row is a simple connection game with the peculiarity that it is played on a vertical board instead of a horizontal one.
Board and pieces
A vertical board is used, with 7 columns, each six high. Therefore, instead of placing a piece on a flat board, they are placed on the corresponding upper slot of one of the columns, and the piece falls to the free lower position.
Two special features have been added to this game:
- In addition to the traditional 7-column, six-height board, different sizes are used, both in the number of columns and rows.
- At the start of the game, some of the lower squares may be disabled; if a piece is put in the corresponding column, it stops in the row above.
Movements
On their turn, each player must place a token on top of a column.
Final de partida
The game is won by the first player to make a row of 4 pieces of their color, horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
