Problems to register

I don´t know how to register

You have to use the User ID option, and click on the new player link, or just click here. You may use any free nick and any password.

I can´t find any free nick

There is many people already registered in Ludoteka, so it may be difficult to find an easy nick. Usually you just have to add any letter or number to get an avalilable nick.
In any case, you will have the option to change your nick.

I have not received any email message from Ludoteka to confirm my registration

You have to make sure the email address is correct and operational (mail services use to disable accounts that are not used or exceed some capacity limits).
Perhaps you have received the email, but you mail service has classed it at SPAM in a different folder.
Or simply there is a delay in the transmission of the message.
In any case, you may ask again for a new message.

Identifying problems

My password is not accepted

If you don´t remember it, just click on the have you forgotten your password? link, and you will receive a new password by email.

The browser returns to the home page or my user ID is asked again and again

The handling of cookies must be accepted in your browser. You may find more information in the frequent asked questions page.

I can´t change my nick

If you want to access again to the game zone with a different nick, you should close all the windows of the browser and get in again.

Problems with the loading of the game zone

I use Google Chrome and the game zone content is not loaded

Java software is disabled in Google Chrome. You can use Internet Explorer to play in Ludoteka.com.

    The window is not opened

    Your browser must accept javascript commands execution, and perhaps you use any tool that limits the opening of pop-up windows.

    The window remains empty, in yellow background

    If you can´t read the following message telling the opposite, you need to install java software in your computer:

    The loading of the game zone runs very slowly

    If you haven´t got a bandwidth connection, the loading for the first time or after introducing changes could delay for a few minutes.

    The game zone program never starts, and the window remains in grey, blue or white background

    Maybe there has been any problem in the http protocol or the starting of the program. You should try forcing a new loading in any of these ways:

    The game zone does not run properly

    The connection is never established

    Perhaps the program tells that you could be accessing through any proxy or firewall; if it is true, it must be enabled the access to the following TCP ports: 8070, 8071 and 8072; IP address: 82.194.86.187

    It does not work fine: slowly, the connection is lost, it freezes, ...

    When the connection to the game zone is established, your browser must exchange data continuously with Ludoteka server, even if the exchanged data amount is small.
    Java software and the game zone program also need enough resources to run properly.
    Under certain conditions those kind of problems tend to happen more often:

    • Your connection is really suddenly delayed.
    • You are downloading some other information while playing in Ludoteka.
    • The programs running in your computer use a lot of memory or processor resources.
    • The game zone window is opened for a long time.
    • If the problem appears very frequently, it could be related with the software installed in your computer; for example, it happens frequently with firewalls, antivirus, pup-up blockers, ...

    If you detect that the game zone is not running properly, take into account that some kind of tasks require more resources and imply more risk:

    • Opening simultaneously several games to play or watch.
    • Changing the size of the game zone window.

    Finally, Ludoteka server could have any problem with the software or connection to the Internet. If it happens, all or most of the users may notice the problem. Anyway, this is not very frequent, and most of the disconnections are related with client side (user connections and computers).

    I just want to play alone or against the computer

    You can play against the computer card games and parcheese, and you can play board games against yourself or somebody next to you.
    Theese options may be launched from the link placed in the lower right corner of the home page, and from the bottom of the rules page of every game.
